Botanical Beauty
for Flanelle Magazine (March ‘25)

This editorial for Flanelle Magazine was more than just a shoot, it was a chance to explore how thoughtful planning, collaboration, and a strong creative vision can transform fashion photography into something truly meaningful. Set in a greenhouse filled with light and life, and featuring a collection of upcycled garments, the shoot became a quiet celebration of renewal, intention, and the kind of storytelling that stays with you.

Shooting this editorial for Flanelle Magazine was one of those projects that just flowed, the kind that reminds me why I fell in love with fashion photography in the first place. It was creative, playful, and full of little moments where everything just clicked. Fashion, for me, is never just about clothes. It’s about mood, movement, and telling a story that makes people stop and feel something.

Rediscovering the Magic of Fashion Photography

What made this shoot really work was the planning. I know, “planning” doesn’t sound sexy, but trust me, it’s the secret sauce. When you take the time to really think about the concept, scout the right location, pull references, and get everyone on the same page, you give yourself room to be bold. You’re not guessing anymore — you’re building something with intention, and that’s where creativity can really take off.

Why Planning Sets the Stage for Creative Freedom

We shot in this beautiful botanical garden greenhouse, filled with soft, natural light and lush greenery. The space had this calm, almost sacred energy, it felt like the perfect backdrop for a story about renewal and transformation. The collection itself was made entirely from upcycled pieces, which added another layer to the narrative. Every garment had a past, and now, reimagined, it had a new life. We kept the styling minimal to let the materials and textures speak for themselves, and focused on capturing those quiet, in-between moments. The way light moves across fabric, how a silhouette breathes in space. It all came together so effortlessly.

Breathing New Life Into Fashion, Surrounded by Nature

The truth is, fashion photography is such a powerful tool. It goes way beyond making things look good (though, yes, that’s part of it too). A strong image can shape the way people see a brand, a designer, a whole collection. It can create desire, tell a story, and build emotional connection, all in one shot. But you only get there when the process behind it is solid.

More Than a Pretty Picture: The Power of Visual Storytelling

If you’re a brand owner, creative director, or part of a marketing or PR team and you're tired of generic visuals that don’t say much, let’s talk. I’m not just here to take pretty pictures. I want to help you say something with your imagery. I bring structure to every shoot, but also leave room for play, because that’s where the real stuff happens.

For Brands That Want to Be Understood, Not Just Seen

So if you’ve got a new collection coming up or you’re dreaming about your next campaign, let’s make it happen. We can build something together that feels fresh, thoughtful, and completely in tune with what your brand stands for. Drop me a message, I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
